Rev. Gary Countway grew up in Chester Basin, N.S.  He received Christ as his personal Lord & Savior at the age of seventeen.  He is a graduate of the New Brunswick Bible Institute, Luther Rice and Freelandia Seminaries.  He was ordained to the Christian Ministry on Feb. 12, 1983.  Pastor Gary, as many have come to call him, began to serve as pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in August, 2008.  God has given Pastor Gary a shepherd’s heart and a ministry clearly based on the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.  God has given him a great burden to see people come to a personal relationship with God, through faith in Christ, and then to grow in this wonderful life.  He believes in a team ministry and that every believer is called to serve and minister for Christ.  He and his dear wife Pam, have three daughters - Amy, Angela and Andrea.
